Stacey Dash: “We Shouldn’t Have A Black History Month”

Wait, huh? Rewind. Stacey Dash said what?

In response to Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike Lee boycotting the Oscars due to it’s lack of diversity for the second year in a row, Stacey Dash appeared on ‘Fox and Friends‘ to discuss her perspective.

The actress and political commentator stated today on Outnumbered Fox News,

“Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET—and the NAACP Image Awards  where you’re only awarded if you’re black, if it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

The former ‘House Arrest‘ actress has been receiving major backlash because of her statement, particularly from American rapper, Bun-B, aka Bernard Freeman. Freeman took to his Instagram to post this picture and caption in response to Stacey’s comments saying,

“For everyone that didn’t know that looks don’t mean a goddamn thing if the inside of you is ugly as fuck here’s your proof. Her black skin drives her crazy. And as hard as she tries to separate herself from the black community, she doesn’t even realize her token role as a pawn in their game. You’re black. Hating yourself and us won’t make them love you. The best you’ll ever here is “You’re not like the rest of them” and if that works for you then cool. #TheBiggestCoonInTheRoom “

Channing Tatum Rips The Stage With Beyonce

As if we needed any other reason to gush over THE hearthrob, Channing Tatum. The 35 year old actor ripped the stage Thursday night on Spike’s new show, Lip Sync Battle.

Tatum was going against actress, and wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum in this episode’s battle and the former backup dancer for Janet Jackson did not disappoint. Dewan performed her very own dance routine to Ginuwine’s Pony, all while mouthing every word. As good as her performance was, it was simply no match for what hubby, Channing, had in store.

After a commercial break, Beyonce’s Who Run The World began ringing throughout the arena and strutting, as fiercely as ever, onto the stage was a blonde wig wearing Channing Tatum, who began popping and grinding to every beat throughout the single. But, just when the audience thought the show couldn’t get any better, out came the Queen-Bey herself, and the duo began performing together.

Oneil Bell: Former Boxing Champ Shot and Killed in Southwest Atlanta

Wednesday morning at 12:30 AM, former cruiserweight world boxing champion from Jamaica, Oneil ‘Supernova’ Bell was shot and killed while getting off of a Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).

Oneil Bell, 41, and another passenger on the bus got off at the same stop around the 1800 block of Harbin Road when two men robbed them both, shooting and killing Bell and injuring the survivor. The injured passenger told 11 Alive News that he was not with Bell, but getting off of the bus at the same time Bell was exiting. The surviving passenger was transported to Grady Hospital to find he had been shot in the hip. Oneil was pronounced dead when police arrived on the scene.

 

The video above was released by the Atlanta Police Department of the PT Cruiser suspected to be involved in the homicide and the photo below was released by the APD of the suspect exiting that car.

The BasedGod to Ball for Philadelphia 76ers D- League Team

Heyyy Keepin It Short peeps! So word on the street is Lil B aka The BasedGod will be trying out for the Delaware 87ers, the D league affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers. However, this will not be the first time that Lil B has been invited to try out for a professional basketball team. In 2012, Lil B tried out for the Santa Cruz Warriors, The D league team for the 2015 NBA Champions, the Golden State Warriors. The BasedGod received the invite via twitter and the post said, “Yo, Lil B, You are coordially invited to the Delaware 87ers open tryout on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the New Castle Police Athletic League facility in New Castle, Delaware. Bring your game. TYBG, The Sevens.” Lil B tweeted the Sevens back accepting the invitation and hinted that he had had previous conversations with the team, “…tryout invite accepted see you there!! Philly here I come thanks to your front office for keeping your word- Lil B.”
